PAKISTAN:

Police have solved the case of four bodies—including a woman and her three children—found near the railway crossing gate on Mai Kolachi bypass, with the arrested suspect’s confessional statement now on record.

Police officials said on Sunday that the prime suspect, Mansoor Hussain, was arrested from the Lyari area.

Keamari district police chief SSP Amjad Ahmed Sheikh said the suspect admitted in a video statement that he brutally murdered the woman and her three children.

The suspect stated that on the day of the incident, he first took the woman on a motorcycle to a deserted area near Mai Kolachi, where he killed her. He then returned to Kharadar, brought the children to the same location one by one, and killed them as well. He further disclosed that he had been in contact with the deceased woman, identified as Anila, for the past three years, alleging that she used taweez, amulet charms, black magic, and blackmail against him.

Police said the suspect often visited the secluded Mai Kolachi area with the woman, which gave him detailed knowledge of the location. Investigations also revealed that he had recently rented a house for the woman using his identity card.

SSP Amjad Ahmed Sheikh said further investigation is under way, and legal proceedings are being pursued based on the suspect’s video confession and other evidence.

Earlier, the four bodies found dumped in a manhole near Mai Kolachi Road railway crossing on Friday night were identified as a woman, her daughter, and two sons.

The family, from Kharadar, went missing on December 30. The bodies, initially unidentified, were recovered from a dry manhole and later identified by the woman’s brother.

Police registered a murder case under Section 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unknown suspects, with the state as complainant. According to Acting SSP District Keamari, Mahzooz Ali, the deceased include 38-year-old Aneela, her 13-year-old daughter Kishwar Zahra, and her sons, 15-year-old Hussain Ali and 10-year-old Konain Ali.

Preliminary investigations suggest Aneela was previously married to Amir Mukhtar Ali, who divorced her. Police are also questioning a man named Mansoor, who allegedly had a connection with the deceased.

The gruesome discovery prompted immediate post-mortems. Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed confirmed that samples from the bodies have been sent to the laboratory to determine the exact cause of death, including tests for intoxicants and possible sexual assault.

The examinations revealed severe injuries; 15-year-old Hussain had multiple head, face, and neck injuries; 10-year-old Konain’s throat was slit; Kishwar suffered similar head and facial trauma; while Aneela had serious skull and facial injuries.
