ATC grants bail to JI youth leader
.

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday approved the bail application of Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Wing head Muhammad Zahid Afridi, who was arrested on charges related to terrorism, and ordered his release.
The bail plea was heard by ATC Judge Farid Alizai, who, after hearing arguments from both sides, accepted the application and directed that the accused be released on bail. During the hearing, defence counsel Farhad Afridi informed the court that his client had been staging a peaceful sit-in for the last seven months in Tirah Maidan, advocating for peace in the area.
The lawyer argued that Muhammad Zahid Afridi was falsely implicated in a case accusing him of incitement against the state and state institutions.
