RAWALPINDI:

In a startling incident at Holy Family Hospital coinciding with the New Year, doctors mistakenly issued a death certificate for a two-day-old baby who was later found to be alive. The infant was immediately shifted to a ventilator for treatment.

The baby, born yesterday to a mother named Rubina, was in critical condition at the hospital. In haste, doctors issued the death certificate, which stated that the body had been handed over to the family.

The certificate bore the seal and signature of Dr Tayyaba Sadaf.
