Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted she isn’t sure what happened to her Marvel character Pepper Potts following Avengers: Endgame. The actress, who played Tony Stark’s longtime partner across multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, said she hasn’t kept up with the franchise since her character’s last appearance in 2019.

Speaking candidly in a recent interview, Paltrow explained that she hasn’t watched many of the Marvel movies released after Endgame, leaving her unsure of where Pepper’s story stands.

“To be honest, I think I would’ve had to see all the Avengers movies to get some story context for what she’s doing,” she said. “I haven’t seen any of them, so I don’t know.”

Paltrow offered a lighthearted guess at what Pepper’s life might look like after Tony Stark’s death, suggesting she could be focused on raising their daughter, handling business responsibilities, or possibly moving on romantically.

She also joked about the MCU’s increasingly complex storytelling, saying, “Or did they bring Robert back to life? I don’t know. I can’t keep track.”

Pepper Potts was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, where she fought alongside the Avengers in the final battle before Stark’s sacrifice. Since then, the character has not appeared in any Marvel films or series, and Marvel Studios has not announced any plans for her return.

A few years ago, Paltrow went famous for not remembering that she portrayed Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's love interest and wife, in the first Spider-man film.
