A brief scuffle broke out outside the Bangladesh Embassy in London on Saturday as pro-Khalistan Sikh activists confronted a group of Indo-UK Hindu protesters demonstrating over the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh.

Paramjeet Singh Pamma, a coordinator of the Khalistan Referendum campaign, confronted the Hindu protesters during the demonstration. Video footage and eyewitness accounts showed a short physical altercation between Pamma and an Indian Hindu protester before British police intervened.

UK police quickly separated the two groups, restored order and dispersed the Indo-UK Hindu protesters from the immediate area outside the embassy.

Following the police intervention, pro-Khalistan Sikhs formed a protective presence around the Bangladesh Embassy, waving Khalistan flags and chanting slogans accusing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian state of involvement in high-profile killings. Chants included, “Who killed Hadi — Modi, Modi, India,” and, “Who killed Shaheed Nijjar — Modi, Modi, India.”
