KARACHI:

The Sindh Department of Universities and Boards has reportedly initiated preparations to appoint a junior college teacher as the Exam Controller at the Inter Board Karachi, marking the second such controversial move in two months. The appointment is being considered based on a request submitted by the teacher, who is currently a Grade-18 Assistant Professor at a government college in Quaidabad. The Exam Controller position, however, is a Grade-19 post.

Sources indicate that the relevant teacher's deputation to the Inter Board is being processed, with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) requested from the College Education Department. The Inter Board Karachi has also reportedly been consulted for comments on the matter.

According to officials, this is not the first instance of such irregular postings. Earlier, a Director of Inspection from the Larkana Board was temporarily transferred to the Karachi Inter Board, only for the decision to be reversed after the error was recognised.

uz | 2 weeks ago | Reply This clearly shows the importance Sindh Govt gives to education. The overall standard of education in Sindh has deteriorated alarmingly over the last 20 years. Main culprits of this decline has been PPP and MQM. An endless stream of controversies has plagued this corrupt govt but you will not even see a single apology. Instead of accepting and committing to do better PPP govt will instead take the bay sharam approach of focusing on discrediting the accuser.
