Bad Bunny and J Balvin end their feud with an emotional reunion on stage
Bad Bunny and J Balvin reunited on stage in Mexico City, ending years of feud rumours with emotional speeches and hugs

Bad Bunny and J Balvin have officially put their long rumoured feud behind them, delivering one of the most emotional moments of the year during Bad Bunny’s final Mexico City show. The reconciliation took place in front of tens of thousands of fans, marking the first time the two Latin music giants have shared a stage since 2021.
The surprise appearance happened during the eighth and final night of Bad Bunny’s Mexico City stop on his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour at GNP Seguros Stadium. As Bad Bunny performed La Canción, the crowd erupted when J Balvin walked onto the stage. The reaction was immediate and overwhelming, with fans cheering as the two artists embraced and launched into a run of their biggest collaborations.
Together, they performed La Canción and Que Pretendes from their joint album OASIS, along with Si Tu Novio Te Deja Sola and I Like It. The performance alone would have been headline worthy, but it was the speeches that followed which truly confirmed the end of their strained relationship.
J Balvin addressed the crowd first, speaking directly to Bad Bunny with visible emotion. He said he was extremely proud of Benito for what he represents, praising him for taking Latinos across the world and opening doors for the genre on a global scale. Balvin described Bad Bunny as a dreamer and a hard worker, adding that it was an honour to share the stage with him. He acknowledged their past issues openly, saying the past is the past, that they are men who have grown up, and that when mistakes are made, apologies should always follow.
Bad Bunny responded by saying the feeling was mutual. He told the audience that he loves and respects Balvin deeply and confirmed that any misunderstandings had already been addressed privately. He revealed that the two had spoken weeks earlier and agreed to wait for the perfect moment to reunite publicly, choosing Mexico as the place to do it. He also highlighted the shared responsibility both artists carry in representing Latinos worldwide, mentioning Colombia, Mexico and Puerto Rico as central to their journey.
Their reunion comes after years of speculation about a fallout, which intensified in 2023 when fans believed Bad Bunny referenced Balvin in Thunder Y Lightning. While neither artist confirmed a feud at the time, the distance between them was widely noted.
Online reaction to the reunion was instant. Clips of the moment flooded social media, with fans calling it healing, historic and long overdue. Many praised both artists for addressing the situation with maturity, while others expressed relief at seeing two genre defining figures reconcile publicly. Some fans admitted they never expected to see them perform together again.
