Parks get fresh look under beautification drive

The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency is undertaking comprehensive measures to enhance the beauty of parks across the city and to ensure the seasonal care and protection of flowers and plants during the winter months.
All available resources are being utilised to provide citizens with high-quality recreational and safety facilities. In this regard, acting on the directives of Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, work has been completed on the beautification of Millat Park, Rawalpindi, along with measures to protect plants and flowers from cold weather.
The park now presents a vibrant spring-like look, with colourful flowers and lush greenery creating an attractively landscaped environment that has become a focal point for visitors. Families are visiting the park in large numbers and enjoying the excellent recreational amenities on offer.
Meanwhile, the staff of the Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency continues to perform their horticultural duties with dedication and responsibility, remaining actively engaged in the care and maintenance of plants.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha stated that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure public convenience and recreation. He added that continuous efforts are underway, in line with the Punjab Government's vision, to make Rawalpindi greener and more attractive while providing citizens with a healthy recreational environment. He further noted that, with the onset of severe winter conditions, the agency's staff remain fully active in safeguarding plants and flowers in green belts and parks from adverse effects.
He also highlighted that an extensive tree plantation campaign is currently underway across Rawalpindi, aimed at reducing environmental pollution and smog.
