The former 'Pretty Little Liars' co-stars are reuniting for the festive romantic comedy directed by David Lipper

Lucy Hale and Ian Harding are set to reunite nearly a decade after starring together on Pretty Little Liars, with the former co-stars leading the holiday romantic comedy The Twelve Dates of Christmas.
The film is directed by David Lipper and produced by Latigo Films, BuzzFeed Studios, Applewood Studios, CaliWood Pictures and Fortitude International.
Hale stars as Christina Walker, a successful shop owner who has focused on her career while putting her personal life aside. As she watches her younger siblings marry before her, Christina resolves to go on 12 dates in the 12 weeks leading up to Christmas in the hope of finding “Mr. Right”.
The film explores themes of personal growth, relationships and the meaning of the festive season, with Harding starring opposite Hale in a leading role.
The screenplay is written by Seth Howard and Lipper, who also produces alongside Robert A. Daly Jr. for Latigo Films.
Earlier, the Hale and Harding appeared together in a joint Instagram video sparking speculation about a potential new collaboration.
In the clip, Hale adjusts her hair while looking into the camera before Harding steps into frame holding two drinks. He hands her a latte, prompting a brief exchange before they raise their cups. “Cheers,” Harding says, as they take a sip. The pair then smile, lean towards each other and say in unison, “It’s good to be back.”
The post was captioned, “Hale and Harding take 2,” while Harding later reshared the video with the words, “Back at it.”
Hale and Harding both appeared throughout all seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, which aired from 2010 to 2017. Hale played Aria Montgomery, while Harding portrayed her English teacher turned love interest, Ezra.
