Jacksepticeye to executive produce indie horror movie 'Godmother' starring Dee Wallace
YouTuber Jacksepticeye will executive produce horror movie 'Godmother' featuring Dee Wallace and new cast

YouTuber Seán "Jacksepticeye" McLoughlin is executive producing a new indie horror movie titled Godmother.
According to Collider, the film stars Paige Evans, Cameron Cuffe, Riley Dandy, Dee Wallace, and Bruce Davison. The story follows Theo, played by Evans, who travels with her boyfriend Colby, played by Cuffe, to the High Desert for a romantic weekend.
Their plans are disrupted by two seemingly friendly retirees, portrayed by Wallace and Davison, who have sinister intentions for Theo.
Dee Wallace, widely recognised for her role as Mary Taylor in Steven Spielberg’s E.T., has also starred in numerous horror films, including The Stepford Wives (1975), The Hills Have Eyes (1977), The Howling (1981), Cujo (1983), Critters (1986), The Frighteners (1996), Halloween (2007), The House of the Devil (2009), and The Lords of Salem (2012).
The screenplay is written by John Veron, known for A Suit and a Straight Razor, and Alanah Pearce, who also joins the production as creative producer. Craig Sherwood is producing alongside Nate Lipp and Eric Michael Kochmer for Cinesthesia Factory. Production began earlier this month in New Mexico.
McLoughlin, a writer and director, has previously appeared in several films and voiced characters in video games such as Bendy and the Ink Machine, Poppy Playtime, and Dispatch, which also features Pearce. He has recently focused on work behind the camera, including a cancelled Soma animated project that he spent a year developing.
Jacksepticeye is joining other YouTubers branching into horror, following Markiplier, who directed, wrote, and starred in the video game adaptation Iron Lung, scheduled for release next month.
Fans have noted McLoughlin’s growing role in film production as a continuation of his creative work beyond online content.
