LAHORE:

Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman (PUC) Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has said that any attempt to raise a voice against the Pakistan Army will be strongly resisted.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday.
Ashrafi said that if the need ever arises in the field of jihad, the ulema, madrasas, mehrabs, and mimbers (pulpits) are fully prepared to stand for the defense of the homeland, as well as its security and stability.
He welcomed the declaration issued by the ulema of Afghanistan and said it is now the responsibility of the Afghan government to implement it in letter and spirit.
