KARACHI:

Malir police on Sunday arrested four suspects, including an inspector and a police constable, for allegedly facilitating narcotics trafficking. The arrests were part of Operation Black Sheep launched by the Malir police to purge the force of criminal elements.

However, during the raid, constables Shaban, Rana Mushtaq, Shahidullah, sub-inspectors (retd) Zakirullah and Bakht Niaz managed to escape. The police have launched a manhunt for the absconding suspects.

SSP Malir Khaliq Pirzada confirmed the arrests, saying the action was taken on the basis of intelligence information.

A large quantity of high-quality narcotics was also recovered from Inspector Noor Ahmed Sheikh, Constable Tahir, and two alleged drug dealers Imran and Subhan.
