CDF Munir says Pakistan Army fully prepared to counter internal, external threats

Says armed forces remain resolute in countering extremist ideologies aimed at harming national stability

Chief of the Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to counter all internal and external threats confronting the country. He said, the coutnry's armed forces are capable enought to counter all extremist groups and foil their defarious designs, meant to harm Pakistan.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) made the remarks during his visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was briefed on the operational readiness and key initiatives aimed at strengthening combat preparedness.

Field Marshal Munir reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to national security and sustained operational readiness. Upon arrival, he reviewed various measures undertaken by the formations to ensure preparedness in line with evolving operational requirements.

During the visit, the CDF witnessed a field training exercise and observed activities at an advanced simulator training facility.

He lauded the formations for maintaining high professional standards and a robust state of readiness, and highlighted the changing character of warfare. Emphasising the importance of technological adaptability, he noted that modern conflict demands agility, precision, situational awareness and swift decision-making.

Interacting with officers and soldiers, the CDF commended their high morale and steadfast commitment to safeguarding national security.
