Man arrested for allegedly killing wife

Police arrested a man for killing his wife, here on Friday. According to police sources, a team of Khurrianwala police traced the accused through scientific lines and arrested him.

The accused Dilawar of 229-RB, Makuana had axed to death his wife Suriya Bibi over domestic dispute. Police have locked the accused behind bars and initiated legal action.

Meanwhile, an Anti-Corruption team conducted a raid and arrested Additional Commissioner Revenue's personal assistant, Asim, red-handed while allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs500,000. A case has been registered against him. Anti-Corruption sources said Muhammad Yousaf submitted an application to Director Anti-Corruption Faisalabad Region, Kanwar Khalid, alleging that Personal Staff Officer Muhammad Asim had demanded a bribe of Rs500,000 to settle a partition case in his favour. Acting on the complaint, the Director assigned Assistant Director Anti-Corruption Faisalabad Region, Sarfraz Warraich, to proceed with a magistrate.

The team caught PA Asim red-handed while he was allegedly receiving the bribe from Muhammad Yousaf outside the Commissioner's Office.
