Paedophile awarded 14-year jail term

A local court sentenced a man to 14-year imprisonment along with a fine of Rs1 million for committing indecent acts with a minor girl.

According to police sources, the verdict was announced after Thana Chobara police of district Layyah submitted solid evidence and completed a comprehensive investigation.

The accused, identified as Zain, was found guilty of sexually harassing a minor girl. The court ordered that the convict begin serving his sentence immediately, while the fine will be recovered in accordance with the law.
