Kelly Osbourne has addressed criticism surrounding her recent weight loss, stating that grief following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, has affected her ability to eat.

The comments were discussed during an interview between Sharon Osbourne and broadcaster Piers Morgan, who showed a recently deleted Instagram clip in which Kelly responded to online remarks about her appearance.

In the clip, Kelly said she had been receiving comments such as “Are you ill” and “Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right,” adding that her father had died on July 22 and that she was “doing the best that I can.”

She said she preferred to share positive moments online rather than what she described as “the miserable side of my life.” She concluded the message by saying, “So to all those people, ‘f--- off.’”

Sharon Osbourne defended her daughter’s response, saying during the interview, “She’s right. She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now.”

Kelly, 41, first came to public attention on the reality series The Osbournes at age 15 and has spoken frequently about her long-standing struggles with body image.

She has previously described being targeted for her weight throughout her career, saying that attention to her appearance has often overshadowed her work or personal challenges.

She told attendees at a PEOPLE event in May that she had received “more s--- for being fat than I did for anything else,” noting that criticism was consistent whether she was heavier or thinner.

She said she had attempted “everything that there is out there, whether it be surgery, medication, diet and exercise,” and that progress began only after she reached a healthier mindset.

Kelly has also spoken about staying out of public view during her pregnancy with her son Sid, now three, due to concerns about online scrutiny. She said the period allowed her to spend time with her father, sharing activities and daily routines.
