CJP Afridi vows to protect human rights

ISLAMABAD:

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has said that protection of human rights is a national obligation – anchored Pakistan's constitutional vision, strengthened by our cultural values and essential for building a peaceful, democratic and prosperous Pakistan.

In a special message released Wednesday with reference to the international Human Rights Day the Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pakistan says 'Today, as the global community observes International Human Rights Day, we renew our constitutional and moral commitment to safeguard the dignity, liberty, and equality of all people.
