Man cuts off wife's hair for property

DIJKOT:

A man brutally assaulted his wife and cut off her hair after she failed to take her share of property from her family.

According to the FIR lodged by Maria, wife of Muhammad Fahad Saleem, she stated that she had married him eight years ago and the couple has two children. She reported that on the morning of December 3, while she was busy with household chores, her husband called her into a room and demanded that she demand her share of property from her brothers.

When she told him that her share had already been consumed, he started beating her.

Maria stated that she endured the abuse for the sake of saving her family, but her husband continued to torture her.

During the assault, he cut off her hair and attempted to injure her eye. She added that Fahad beat her repeatedly for three days with sticks and rods, fracturing her arm.

Police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under sections 337-V, 337-L1, and 337-F1 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
