Three arrested for torching man
A 40-year-old man was allegedly set on fire after petrol was poured on him over a financial dispute.
Police arrested three accused and registered a case.
According to the police, Azhar Hussain, a 40-year-old resident of Bhawana, had a monetary dispute with Kamran, Sharjeel, Fahad, Safdar, and Rana Sohail.
The victim worked at a farmhouse, feeding livestock.
The police said that the suspects, along with their accomplices, took the victim with them on the pretext of having a meal to a sitting room in Mohalla Usman Ghani.
There, they thrashed him, took petrol from a motorcycle and poured it over him, after which they set him on fire and threw a quilt over him.
As a result, Azhar suffered burns on his arm, neck and cheek.
After setting him on fire, the suspects threw the victim near a drain and fled.
