A rickshaw driver was killed and two others injured when a dumper truck struck two rickshaws on Autobahn Road in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Ghulam Rasool. The truck's driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind, which was subsequently impounded. Angry onlookers broke the windscreen of the truck in protest.
The association of rickshaw drivers later blocked Hussainabad Chowk, the starting point of Autobahn Road, to demand immediate action. By evening, the First Information Report (FIR) had yet to be lodged.
