Police launch hunt as video goes viral

FAISALABAD:

Police have registered a case and launched raids to arrest suspects who allegedly gang-raped an 18-year-old boy and started blackmailing him with an obscene video.

According to the police report, Muhammad Azim, a resident of Chak 2 JB Ram Diwali, filed the complaint on behalf of his younger brother, identified as an 18-year-old.

The complaint stated that the victim had been troubled for several days, and upon inquiry, revealed that the accused Haroon Malik alias Harira, Jamshed son of Amjad and Nadeem alias Babi son of Ilyas, residents of 2 JB — had sexually assaulted him two years ago at Nadeem's residence using weapons to intimidate him.

The suspects reportedly recorded the act on video and have since been using it to repeatedly blackmail the victim into sexual abuse.

The victim had initially remained silent to protect his dignity. However, the accused recently circulated the video across multiple social media platforms, further damaging his reputation and leaving him distressed.

Muhammad Azim informed the police via Rescue 15, prompting the authorities to register a case under sections 375-A and 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to gang rape.

The Nishatabad police have begun raids to apprehend the accused and are actively investigating the matter.
