Capital hosts two-day flower exhibit

ISLAMABAD:

A two-day exhibition of chrysanthemums and autumn flowers opened at the Gardenia Hub on Park Road on Saturday.

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Mohammad Ali Randhawa, formally inaugurated the event, accompanied by the Member Administration, Member Environment, Director General Environment and other officials from the Environment Wing.

The chairman visited the various sections of the exhibition and inspected the arrangements. Officials briefed him on the management, artistic floral displays and overall preparations, noting that the event follows the recent upgradation of the Gardenia Hub Model Nursery.

According to the briefing, the Gardenia Hub Model Nursery is regarded as one of the largest in Asia, with more than 1.2 million plants under cultivation. The officials added that hosting the Chrysanthemum and Autumn Flowers Exhibition after the nursery's enhancement marks an important milestone. The exhibition showcases hundreds of thousands of vibrant and rare flowers, especially chrysanthemums and seasonal autumn varieties.
