Three cops suspended over helmet violation

Three police officials, including two traffic wardens and a personal staff officer of SSP Investigation were suspended after a fight over a helmet violation on Sargodha road, here on Friday.

According to report, the incident occurred when the traffic wardens stopped Aslam, the staff officer, for not wearing a helmet, he reacted angrily, leading to a verbal clash.

The wardens escorted him to the police station. CPO Faisalabad Sahibzada Bilal Umar launched an inquiry. After a quick investigation, CTO suspended the involved wardens and placed all three officers under review.

SP Lyallpur Town Malik Abid Zafar has been tasked with a detailed probe. No legal action was taken, but internal disciplinary measures was underway.
