SBCA demolition squad roughed up

A SBCA demolition team was attacked during an operation on Wednesday, leaving an officer and three staff members seriously injured.

According to officials, the SBCA demolition squad had arrived at Plot No 190 in Karachi Admin Society to demolish a third floor allegedly being constructed in violation of building rules. As soon as the team began the operation, unidentified men assaulted them. Assistant Director Fayyaz sustained a severe head injury while three other employees were also beaten.

Later the suspects allegedly pointed weapons at the staff in the presence of police too.
