Varsity under fire for hasty police clearance rule
.

Female students and their families have expressed severe resentment after a university in Rawalpindi began demanding police verification certificates from students on "extremely" short notice.
All male and female students have been instructed to obtain their police verification certificates from the police stations of their respective residential areas within 24 hours and submit them to the university administration by December 5.
A university administration has further warned the female students that any student who fails to provide this certificate will not be allowed to enter the university premises. Entry will remain prohibited until the police verification certificate is produced.
These sudden notices regarding police certificates have caused considerable distress among the students, while their parents have been left deeply troubled and anxious.
Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has issued particularly stringent directives in this regard.
