Injured robber arrested

MULTAN:

A wanted robber was injured and arrested during an exchange of gunfire near Pakki Pul. The incident took place late at night when a police patrol was conducting routine checking.

Three suspects on a motorcycle were signaled to stop, but they opened fire on the police team. The officers took cover and returned fire. When the firing ceased, the police found one suspect lying injured after being hit in the leg, allegedly by shots fired by his fleeing accomplices.

A pistol was seized from his possession. The arrested suspect identified himself as Muhammad Baqar Shah, a resident of Matotli. Police record showed that he was wanted in several cases robbery.
