ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan's eminent architect and internationally acclaimed photographer Hasan Kausar is counted among the few photographers whose innate talent has brought global recognition to the country. Recently, Arno Kirchhoff, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Pakistan, hosted a photography exhibition featuring Hasan Kausar's captivating images of Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Baden-Baden.

The exhibition brought the true essence of inner-city Germany to Islamabad through Kausar's lens. German Ambassador to Pakistan Ina Lepel, Head of Communications, Cultural Affairs and Protocol Jan Gerald Krausser and other distinguished guests attended the event.

The Deputy Head of Mission noted that Kausar has immortalised remarkable scenes through his camera, adding that hosting this exhibition at the embassy is an honour.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, renowned photographer Kausar said he hails from Lahore, and it was from the streets of Lahore that he set out to capture beautiful memories across Germany and other countries through his camera. He shared that he never formally studied photography but always aspired to produce distinctive work—an ambition that drove him to work tirelessly.

Kausar said night photography, particularly focusing on light and shadow, is his passion, and that black-and-white photography holds unmatched artistic value. "My photographs speak for themselves," he remarked, adding that photographing Old Lahore initially inspired him towards this art, and he never looked back.
