Brohi-Jatoi feud claims two lives

HYDERABAD:

Tribal violence in Larkana division continues unabated, as a Brohi-Jatoi feud claimed two lives on Monday in Garhi Yaseen, Shikarpur district. Advocate Ali Hassan Brohi and his cousin Nazeer Brohi were allegedly shot dead by rival Jatoi men in village Noushehro Abro.

The attack targeted the lawyer's car, with armed men on motorcycles opening indiscriminate fire, according to Sikandar Brohi, who was travelling with the victims. Mehboob Brohi, the lawyer's brother, accused Sajjan Jatoi and his accomplices of carrying out the killings.

Shikarpur SSP Shahzeb Chachar said the dispute stems from an ongoing conflict over agricultural land. The recent clashes have claimed four lives so far. No FIR had been registered and no arrests announced by Monday evening.

Separately, in Kashmore-Kandhkot district, police continue their search for the killers of a police official's son and grandson, who were shot dead on November 25 in Abdul Hakeem Khan Bijarani village.
