KARACHI:

Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) President Paman Lal Rathi rejected the Indian defence minister's recent remarks about Sindh as "factually incorrect" and "an insult to Pakistani Sindhi Hindus." He formally launched a signature campaign on an official protest declaration during a protest outside the Karachi Press Club on Monday.

Rathi said Dr Vankwani will present the signed document to the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad to register the community's protest with the Modi government. Protesters said Sindhi Hindus are loyal citizens of Pakistan and have been part of Sindh's civilization, language and culture for thousands of years. "Our identity today is Pakistani Sindhi Hindu," the participants stated.
