Man booked for threatening lawyer

A young man who allegedly harassed and threatened to kill a female lawyer has been booked by the police.

According to the police, Advocate Anum Ishrat Butt lodged a complaint with Civil Lines police, stating that on she was in the Sessions Court premises for her case proceedings on November 29 when Waheed, a resident of Azad Kashmir, followed, harassed and hurled abuses at her, and threatened to kill her.

She stated that her clerks Naeem and Sabir Butt were also present at the scene and raised alarm, managing with difficulty to rescue her.

The police registered the case against the accused under Section 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code and initiated efforts to arrest him.
