Sufi wisdom takes centre stage at Alhamra
The Lahore Arts Council organised a conversation session as part of Alhamra Sufi Festival, bringing together some of the leading voices of contemporary thought.
The discussion focused on the impact of Sufism on society and its relevance for the new generation in today's complex world.
Scholars including Dr Moin Nizami, Dr Tariq Sharif Zada, Sahibzada Muhammad Asim Maharvi Chishti and Fahad Ali Kazmi offered their perspectives. The session drew a large audience. Speakers noted that Sufism offers a path to self-connection, character refinement and an enlightened way of living.
Earlier, a session titled "Punjabi Sufi poetry and its message for the youth" was held with scholars, including Nain Sukh, Dr Sughra Sadaf, Dr Imdad Hussain and Yousaf Punjabi.
