Two women held in gold jewellery heist
CCTV footage leads to recovery of gold worth millions

Kotwali police arrested two women allegedly involved in snatching a purse containing gold jewellery worth millions.
Police said Safe City authorities received an alert through the Police 15 helpline regarding a purse snatching in the Kotwali area.
The purse, belonging to a local woman, was reported to contain 16 tola of gold jewellery, cash, a watch and other valuables.
Upon receiving the information, the Safe City surveillance team immediately began monitoring footage from cameras around the scene of the incident.
The team identified two women fleeing the area after the snatching. Kotwali Police were promptly informed and, acting on the tip-off, apprehended the suspects at the scene.
The stolen purse was recovered from their possession, and items worth approximately 5 million rupees, including the gold jewellery and watch, were seized.
Police have registered a case against the arrested women and initiated further investigation.
In an unrelated and distressing incident, a case of alleged prolonged sexual assault has been registered in Peoples Colony 2.
As per the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by a resident, Hamza, the accused, Maqsood Ahmed, is alleged to have sexually assaulted Hamza's real sister over a period of one and a half years. The complainant stated that the accused, a close relative of the victim, had "bad intentions" towards the young woman and exploited her after intoxicating her.
