Man confesses to killing father 14 years ago

A man confessed to killing his father 14 years ago and burying the body inside a room of their house with the help of his sister and brother-in-law.

Station House Officer (SHO) Yousaf Shehzad Supra of City Jaranwala Police Station raided the residence of the suspect, Rafiq, in Chak 126 GB, Shahroana, in connection with alleged liquor sale.

During interrogation, officers were stunned when the suspect made a confession.

Rafiq admitted that nearly 14 years ago, during a domestic dispute, he lost his temper and, along with his sister Saima and brother-in-law Maqbool, tortured his father, Siddique Masih, to death.

He said they then dug a pit inside a room of the house and buried the body, telling relatives that Siddique, who they claimed was addicted to drugs, had left home and never returned. Following the confession, SHO Yousaf Shehzad Supra ordered excavation of the room.
