Fatima Naseem from Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony has set her eighth Guinness World Record. The 12-year-old student has become the female athlete who has made the most Guinness World Records for Pakistan. Fatima is the daughter of Rashid Naseem, who himself holds 125 Guinness World Records.

Given a target of bursting at least 70 balloons holding an egg in each hand, Fatima went on to pop 76 in just 30 seconds, while the eggs remained uncracked.

Having defeated India four times, Fatima has also broken the record of world-renowned Liberty Barros, known as the most flexible girl in the world, by performing 47 stretches in a minute. The young athlete also set a record for full-extension punching while holding an egg in both hands, as well as a record for striking both elbows with both hands.

Her eighth record was achieved on the occasion of World Records Day, which provides opportunities to selected candidates from across the globe.

Fatima, who has continuously brought honour to Pakistan at the global level without any government patronage, says she hopes her hard work will someday be acknowledged at the government level. This, she says, would give her more courage, passion, and determination, helping her work harder and further raise the name of her homeland.
