Natali Germanotta has long been the force behind Lady Gaga's most recognisable looks, but the younger Germanotta is now stepping firmly into the spotlight.

The costume designer and stylist made her official debut at the inaugural Vegas Fashion Week, showcasing a piece she originally created for her superstar sister.

Fans immediately recognised the bold pink feathered coat Gaga wore during her 2021 Las Vegas residency at Park MGM's Dolby Live, a design that underscored Natali's flair for drama and meticulous detail.

"It was made out of 60 boas, all hand-sewn onto a stretch mesh base," Natali told People. "It was super lightweight, but fully lined inside and out for the reveal moment." Her comments offered a glimpse into the precision that has helped make Gaga's stage moments feel consistently larger than life.

Natali's path is rooted in a lifelong love of fashion. Born in 1992, she studied at Parsons School of Design and built a portfolio that includes costumes for Gaga's tours supporting Artpop in 2013 and Cheek to Cheek in 2014.

She also contributed as a stylist to 'A Star Is Born' in 2018 and appeared on camera in several of Gaga's music videos, including the 2009 hit 'Telephone'.

Her work, however, extends beyond her sister's orbit. Earlier this year, Natali and her husband Alex Dolan opened On Stage Essentials, a Las Vegas-based sewing and costume supply store specialising in show-girl aesthetics.

The pair collaborated with Natali's New York studio, Topo Studio, for the Vegas Fashion Week presentation. Fans familiar with Gaga's performances also recognised Natali's signature touch in the teal gown and feather capelet she created for Gaga at the 2022 Grammys, which the singer later shared proudly on Instagram.

Social media lit up after Natali's runway appearance, with fans praising her inventiveness and command of detail. Many noted that while she has spent years working behind the scenes, she now appears ready to claim her own spotlight.

From helping pack her sister's instruments in high school to crafting elaborate stage costumes today, Natali Germanotta shows how talent, persistence and vision can transform backstage dedication into front-row acclaim.
