PPP empowered local govts, says Sharjeel

Says if MQM continues to raise objections, "we are ready to bring Lahore's local government model to Karachi"

Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has responded sharply to MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi's statement, asserting that the PPP has empowered local governments more than any other party in the country.

Memon said if MQM continues to raise objections, "we are ready to bring Lahore's local government model to Karachi," adding that Punjab is being cited as an example despite not holding local elections yet.
