Rescue 1122 captures 29 snakes from house

SHAKARGARH:

Panic spread through the Alampura Antowali area of Shakargarh on Tuesday when dozens of snakes suddenly emerged from a house under construction, triggering fear and chaos among residents.

The locals said construction workers were removing bricks when multiple snakes crawled out from beneath the structure.

The unexpected sight caused residents to rush indoors, and the neighbourhood was gripped by fear as the incident quickly circulated through the area.

Upon receiving an emergency call, Rescue 1122 Narowal immediately dispatched a specialised team to the site.

Equipped with protective gear, the trained rescuers carried out a cautious and coordinated operation. During the sweep, the team safely captured 29 snakes found hiding inside a gutter opening and later released them at a secure location away from the residential zone.

Rescue personnel also inspected the sewer line and surrounding area to ensure no further threat remained.

After declaring the area clear, the team briefed residents on precautionary measures.
