LHC grants bail to YouTuber Ducky Bhai in gambling app promotion case

Court grants bail against surety bonds worth Rs1 million

The Lahore High Court approved the bail petition of YouTuber Saad ur Rahman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in a case related to the alleged promotion of online gambling applications.

Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, who heard the petition, granted bail against surety bonds worth Rs1 million.

During the proceedings, Justice Shehram noted that the Supreme Court has already held that denying bail in such cases is considered “unusual.”

The court had summoned arguments from counsels representing both sides prior to issuing its order.

Ducky Bhai had approached the Lahore High Court seeking post-arrest bail after being nominated in a case accusing him of promoting gambling-related mobile applications.

The petition maintained that the allegations did not warrant continued detention.

He was detained by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) at Lahore Airport.

According to Express News, Ducky Bhai was attempting to leave the country despite his name being placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). It said his detention was carried out when immigration authorities flagged his name during departure checks.

The NCCIA had already been investigating the influencer on multiple charges, including the promotion of online gambling apps. His arrest followed allegations that he was trying to evade these cases by travelling abroad.
