Nawaz undergoes surgery, says PML-N leader

PML-N leader Tahira Aurangzeb has revealed that PML-N President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has undergone a surgery. She has also urged people to pray for his speedy recovery. Nawaz Sharif on November 15 departed for London. According to party sources, the visit was primarily for a routine medical check-up, and that the PML-N leader was expected to stay in London for around two weeks.

The timing of Nawaz's departure that took place right after the passage of the contentious 27th Constitutional Amendment had sparked speculation but insiders had insisted that the trip was strictly related to his health and carried no political agenda.
