Varsity unveils virtual classroom in jail
Digital learning facility aims to support inmates' education

Abbottabad University inaugurated Pakistan's first Smart IT Virtual Classroom at the Abbottabad District Jail on Saturday.
The university's vice chancellor was received by Jail Superintendent Syed Junaid Bukhari and the jail administration during his visit.
He was accompanied by the assistant director of administration and PS to the vice chancellor and the PIPS college director. Superintendent Bukhari briefed the vice chancellor on the jail's facilities, earning praise for the excellent arrangements. The vice chancellor also visited the jail's library, computer lab, and mosque, and expressed appreciation for the handicrafts and cultural items made by inmates.
"We will provide full support to the jail inmates in providing educational facilities," said Professor Khan, expressing hope that inmates will take important steps to rebuild their lives after release. The visit concluded with the superintendent thanking the vice chancellor for his support and cooperation.
