A clash between the wildlife department staff and residents of a local settlement in Pirowal escalated into a violent confrontation involving sticks and batons, prompting police to register cases. Tensions flared when a Wildlife Ranger allegedly slapped a young girl from the settlement, triggering outrage among residents who pushed some department officials, including female officer Nighat Shaheen.
The wildlife department later lodged a complaint at Police Station Sadar against several villagers.
Following the registration of that case, residents confronted the Wildlife staff, accusing them of filing a false FIR.
