Wife, accomplices held for husband's murder in Pindi
Suspects allegedly confess to killing victim over property dispute

Police have solved the mystery surrounding the month-old blind murder of a citizen in the Banni area, revealing that the victim's wife, her lover and his accomplice were behind the killing.
The suspects have confessed to murdering him over property and money. All three have been arrested.
According to police, on October 9, complainant Rafiqat Ali reported that his brother, Waqar Asad, an employee of Sui Gas, was driving his vehicle when two unidentified individuals suddenly opened fire on him.
Waqar died on the spot while the attackers fled. He suspected that a woman named Zahida Perveen, who had been issuing threats, was behind the murder.
A case was registered, and City Police Officer Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani formed an investigation team led by DSP Waris Kha,n Circle Rana Naeem, and SHO Banni Inspector Raja Tahir Mahmood. Initially, allegations against the nominated suspect, Zahida Perveen, could not be substantiated. Investigators then expanded the probe, analysing hundreds of CCTV cameras, technical evidence and human intelligence.
The trail eventually led to the shooters, whose interrogation revealed that the victim's own wife, Bushra, had orchestrated the murder. She had conspired with her lover, Zubair, to eliminate her husband for property and money.
Zubair, with the help of his coworker, stopped Waqar Asad's vehicle and shot him before escaping. Police have arrested Bushra, Zubair and his accomplice.
CPO Khalid Hamdani praised the performance of DSP Rana Naeem, SHO Raja Tahir and their team for successfully tracing the blind murder and arresting the suspects.
He vowed that solid evidence would be presented in court to ensure strict punishment for the accused.
