Inaugurates new Pink Bus route, announces free bikes for differently-abled children

"Faryal Talpur was arrested in false cases and moved from a hospital to jail on Chand Raat," he reminded talking to the media at the opening of the new route of the women-only Pink BRT bus from Numaish to Surjani. Sharjeel said that in the past, families were not targeted in politics and that personal attacks on family members were inappropriate.
Regarding the women-only bus service, he said, soon pink buses will also run on the Edhi Orange Line BRT and the Green Line.
Transport and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Memon said special bikes are being prepared for children with disabilities and will be provided free of cost.
He said the distribution process will be completed through daily meetings. He added that providing facilities to every segment of society is a shared responsibility and the Transport Department is working with this goal in mind.
He said double-decker buses will arrive in the province next week and will first operate on Sharae Faisal. Routes may be expanded if needed. New buses are being introduced as pilot projects on the corridor and BRT systems, and they have received positive feedback from the public. Answering a question, the minister said, "equality and uniformity have been strengthened through constitutional amendments."
