.

A married couple allegedly threw acid on a former neighbour over a loan dispute, leaving the victim's face severely burned and his left eye permanently damaged.
Police said Muhammad Abid, a resident of Ghulam Muhammadabad, Mohallah Gulshan Barkat, had borrowed Rs500,000 from his former neighbour, Amjad Ali, of Ibrahim Bajwa Town, Chakira. When Amjad Ali requested repayment, Abid, in consultation with his wife Sajida Bibi, lured Amjad to their home on November 10 around 11am under the pretext of returning the money.
When Amjad knocked at the door, Sajida Bibi, along with her husband Abid and two unidentified accomplices, allegedly threw acid on him.
The attack left his face badly burned and resulted in the loss of vision in his left eye.
Neighbours rushed the victim to the hospital.
Upon receiving information, SHO Nishatabad Sub-Inspector Imran Amir and his team reached the scene, arrested the couple, and registered a case under Section 336-B of the Pakistan Penal Code. Both accused have been remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a case has been registered against 19 individuals for allegedly abducting and detaining a health department team during a measles immunisation campaign.
