LAHORE:

A fresh edition of Shauq-e-Awargi, the celebrated travelogue by renowned writer, satirist and former Alhamra Chairman Attaul Haq Qasmi, has been released, offering readers an elegant revival of one of Urdu literature's most beloved works.

The publication, meticulously produced by Nastaleeq Publications, reflects the aesthetic care and craftsmanship befitting a modern classic.

Qasmi remains one of the most influential literary voices in Pakistan.

Over decades of writing, he has shaped Urdu prose through his sharp wit, humane insight and distinctive storytelling style. As a satirist, he refined the art of social critique; as a playwright, he enriched Pakistani television with iconic characters and memorable dialogues; and as a columnist, he guided public discourse with a blend of humour, intellect and cultural awareness. His stewardship of the Lahore Arts Council further strengthened Pakistan's artistic and cultural landscape.
