Attackers burn homes of TTP commanders

Unidentified attackers set fire to the houses of two commanders affiliated with the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Tank district, reducing both structures to ashes, officials said on Tuesday.
According to initial reports, unidentified individuals targeted the residences of commanders Tor Betni and Shahzeb Betni. The blaze quickly engulfed the houses, leaving them completely destroyed. No casualties were reported, and authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack.
In a separate incident, a police constable was martyred when unidentified armed men opened fire in Sarai Naurang, Lakki Marwat district. Police said the attack took place in the village of Nasweer Kallay, Sahibzada Khost area, where gunmen ambushed Constable Fareedullah. The assailants managed to flee after the shooting.
The body of the martyred policeman was shifted to Naurang Hospital for medico-legal procedures. Local police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the suspects. Security officials say both incidents underscore the rising security challenges in the southern districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where targeted attacks and acts of sabotage have seen a recent uptick. Authorities have increased patrols and initiated investigations into the incidents.
