LAHORE:

A comparison of data from the first fortnight of November with the figures recorded during the corresponding period last year has indicated an overall improvement in the environmental conditions.

According to a report of a provincial, air quality monitoring organisation, satellite-based observations indicate a reduction in pollution levels across all districts.

The report states that during the same period last year, dense smog layers were noticeable, whereas this year the situation remained comparatively better.

A significant decline in emissions from brick kilns has been highlighted as a key development, attributed to the growing use of zigzag technology.
