Capital ramps up anti-encroachment drive
Encroachments were removed from 886 spots in Lahore during the past 24 hours. An anti-encroachment operation is being carried out on a daily basis to restore public spaces and improve urban mobility.
According to a district administration spokesperson, 3,215 banners, flexes and other forms of 'visual pollution' were removed from various parts of the city.
He added the ongoing action has improved traffic flow and provided relief to citizens.The spokesperson said the campaign is also helping revive Lahore's beauty, while public areas illegally occupied in various localities are being reclaimed.
