Kot Lakhpat Jail capacity increased

Five newly constructed double-storey barracks designed to accommodate up to 2,000 inmates were inaugurated at the Kot Lakhpat Central Jail.

The opening ceremony was attended by Task Force Chairman Rana Manan Khan. Officials inspected the new facilities, interacted with inmates, and issued instructions to provide legal aid for prisoners unable to afford representation.

Measures were also taken to ensure that inmates receive blankets as per seasonal requirements. Rana Mannan Khan said the government is committed to implementing reforms across the prison system.
