Two detained for illegal hunting

LAHORE:

Police Animal Rescue Centre (PARC) has arrested two individuals involved in illegal bird hunting.

According to a spokesperson, the Animal Rescue Centre received a call via wireless from Rang Mahal police station reporting that suspects were hunting birds unlawfully using slingshots.

Acting on the tip-off, the PARC team, in coordination with Rang Mahal police, apprehended the two suspects and recovered several birds, slingshots, and other hunting equipment from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rayan and Hanzala.

Authorities confirmed that preventive action has been taken against them under wildlife protection regulations, and further investigation is underway.
